Plexus Records is an independent record store, specializing in new/used vinyl records, and vintage hi-fi equipment.

Itinerant beginnings

The Plexus adventure began with vinyls sales at trade shows and specialized conventions.

First by assisting experienced record stores, then quickly by creating the Plexus Records stand.

2005

The very young stand runs through specialist fairs, from France to the Netherlands.

During this crazy and intense period, it was Plexus expertise that was forged : because it was an opportunity to learn the profession in the field, in contact with diggers, each more passionate and improbable than the other (ah, this mysterious period before Internet) ...

Plexus Records gradually acquired a solid reputation for the quality of its records and their impeccable condition. The catalog then specializes in the Rare-Groove, Spiritual Jazz game, Hip-Hop scene ...

Archive: first shop in Poitiers (France)

First shops... 2010

After 5 years of existence, we launch into online sales : first via CDandLP.com, then on the unmissable Discogs.com.

2011

The very first physical store Plexus Records opens its doors in Poitiers (86), a city which has a tremendous track record in terms of cultural life ... and record stores!

This tiny room then allows us to carry out very large projects : building the loyalty of local customers, increasing the range of genres available in the catalog, offering new products (new products and quality reissues), or even selling second-hand HIFI equipment ...

Plexus gets bigger 2016

The shop Plexus Records is moving to a much larger premises at 172 Grand'Rue, still in Poitiers. This is also the opportunity to increase and vary the stock further.

A comfortable store :

An exceptional sound system : JBL 4435, Yamaha PC2602M, Technics SL1210, Denon DL103... composed with care and originality (inspiration from the finest Japanese audiophile installations, discovered during our regular Tokyo trips to Obi-Land).

We have the great pleasure of working hand in hand with many parts from the local Poitiers scene : Technogramma, Jazz à Poitiers, TAP, Radio Pulsar (and many others!).

At the same time, we travel all over the world for the love of records, to find and buy exceptional collections.

Over time, Plexus Records has specialized in importing records from the Japanese market. A unique catalog full of atypical or rare records.
